Ama Kutin’s ‘Journey Album’ etches her name in history at the just ended SAMMYS

In a night filled with melody and celebration, USA-born Ghanaian gospel musician Ama Kutin, etched her name in history at the 2024 edition of the Syracuse Music Awards (SAMMYS).

Held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the illustrious Palace Theatre in Syracuse, New York, the event saw Ama Kutin clinch an enviable award in the ‘Best Other Category’ for her exceptional debut studio album, “The Journey.”

Ama Kutin’s remarkable journey to success began with the inception of her debut album, “The Journey,” recorded under the banner of her management company, Seven7 Africa, and launched to the world in January 2023. The album quickly captivated audiences, both in her native Ghana and across the globe, propelling Ama Kutin to the forefront of the gospel music scene.

Her win at the SAMMYS marks a significant milestone not only in Kutin’s career but also in the history of the prestigious awards. As she joyfully exclaimed, “As far as I can tell, I am the only Ghanaian who have won an award in the Sammy’s since they began in 1993.” This achievement speaks volumes about Kutin’s talent, dedication, and the universal appeal of her music.

In her acceptance speech, Ama Kutin graciously dedicated her win to her two daughters, Iris and Jasmine, whose unwavering support has been a constant source of inspiration. You’re Artiste of the Year- Patoranking tells King Promise 

Celebrated Nigerian musician, Patoranking has tipped King Promise as Ghana’s Artiste of the Year.

According to him, King Promise is best suited to be awarded Artiste of the Year at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

He made this comment when performing at a concert staged by King Promise at Washington DC in the United States yesterday.

It would be recalled that King Promise whiles performing last weekend in Ghana made the point the he has worked hard that any artiste in the country and deserves to be crowned the ultimate.

This point made stirred the music space, making other pundits and journalists recounts the successes he chalked last year.

Born Gregory Bortey Newman, King Promise had global appeal in the year under review with successful tours across Asia, including Bali, as proof of his influence beyond Ghana’s borders.

Currently,  King Promise is on a tour of United State filling auditoriums and delivering unforgettable experiences through his artistry.
