Calista Amoateng named Tourism Ambassador …Ghana to host Miss Teen Tourism World 2023

The Chief of Staff, Mrs. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare has conferred on Calista Amoateng Tourism Ambassador of Ghana , and called for support for her as Ghana hosts Miss Teen Tourism World Competition this year.
Calista Amoateng, last year hoisted the flag of Ghana high after overcoming other competing nationals to become the first Ghanaian and African to win Miss Teen Tourism World beauty pageant.
For this reason and August chalked by Calista, Ghana will host this year’s edition slated for August 1 – 20.
Against this backdrop, a ceremony was held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel on Sunday, January 8, to officially unveil Calista Amoateng’s Miss Teen Tourism World project and Ghana as host as well as to raise funds.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief of Staff, Mrs. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, said for such achievement at her age, and for projecting Ghana’s culture to the rest of the world, she conferred on Calista Amoateng the title of Tourism Ambassador of Ghana.
She commended Calista Amoateng for her choice of project which is focused on poverty eradication and youth empowerment as important and relevant topics.
She further stated that since Ghana is hosting this event it will boost the economy of the country and therefore urged all stakeholders to prepare and position themselves for the opportunities ahead.
Speaking to The Spectator, Calista expressed her appreciation to Ghanaians for the support, and promised to do everything in her capacity to project the culture of Ghana on every platform she is offered.
Stacey Amoateng, mother of Calista who has been her guide throughout this process revealed that the team is adequately putting all measures in place to host about 70 delegates from across the globe.
This notwithstanding, she called on benevolent individuals to come to their aid with support in any form for a befitting event.
In attendance were traditional leaders, Deputy Ministers and Heads of Institutions among other distinguished Ghanaians.
Also present were the bfather of Calista, ace broadcaster, Quophi Okyeame, Nana Ama McBrown, Obaapa Christy, Piesie Esther, Chief Operations Officer of Miss Tourism Ghana, Delphine Brew-Hammond, Miss Tourism Ghana Princesses, KK Fosu, Prophet Joseph Atarah, Charles Osei Asibe, Selasie Brown and Jayana among others.

Miss Ghana 2025 finalists unveiled

The talented 16 contestants have been unveiled at a grand ceremony held at the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra last Saturday.
These finalists made the cut following gruelling auditions in November 2024, where young women from across the country showcased their beauty, intelligence, and passion for service.
According to the organisers, the search is for a queen who exemplifies selflessness, intelligence, discipline, and dedication to societal service.
The contestants will go through calculated weekly tasks ahead of the highly anticipated grand finale on March 29, 2025.
Each contestant will now represent their respective regions as they compete for the prestigious Miss Ghana 2025 crown.
Organised by Exclusive Events Ghana and Miss Ghana Foundation, the Miss Ghana pageant is more than just a beauty competition.
As part of the modalities, the winner will not only represent Ghana on the global stage at Miss World but will also lead charitable initiatives under the Miss Ghana Foundation, focusing on supporting vulnerable communities.
The contestants expressed their readiness to prove their mettle in the competition for the ultimate.
This year’s pageant is being sponsored by Bullet TV and supported by Gold Presence, Tang Palace Hotel, Belaqua, Bel Beverages Ghana, Pippa’s Health Centre, Central Hotel, Accra, Airport Women’s Hospital, Renault Ghana, and Premium Motors Limited.
