Daughters of Glorious Jesus back with ‘Glorious Praise’

Daughters

The evergreen gospel group, Daughters of Glorious Jesus will return with the Glorious Praise music concert from March 24 in Accra.

The concert would continue in Kwahu in the Eastern region on March 31 (Easter Sunday) before heading to Kumasi on April 14.

The concert which has run for over a decade despite a three-year break following the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, is now set to return with the soul-lifting performance this year.

Speaking ahead of the event, Cynthia, leader of the dynamic trio, said this year’s Glorious Praise would be one of the best.

“We have carefully put together a number of artistes to join us on all the various stages in our quest to revive our spirits through music this year,” Cynthia told The Spectator Agoro.

On the reason they were taking the show to Kwahu, she said, “we noticed that Kwahu is the busiest place during the Easter holidays, but unfortunately, there aren’t enough there regarding gospel events.”

“We shouldn’t forget that the reason for the season is to remember the death of our saviour, hence our decision to be in Kwahu on the Easter Sunday for this year’s Glorious Praise,” she stressed.

This year’s programme, she said, was dear to them because they had partnered with the Breast Care International, to create awareness and raise funds to support some breast cancer patients, who could barely afford the treatment.

“We have embarked on several projects to help various communities, but as women, embarking on any project that directly affects women is dear to our hearts. We therefore call on all and sundry to join us to make this year’s Glorious Praise a memorable one,” she added.
