The Here for Perfection (H4P) Organisation as part of celebrations to mark its 12th anniversary celebration will launch the Christina Hackman Impact Leadership Awards (C.H.I.L. Awards) as its special feature during this year’s ‘Ability Praise Concert.’

The CHIL Awards is an award scheme instituted by the H4P Organisation to honour and acknowledge the people who contribute significantly towards the development of the disability community and also towards national development.

It is aimed at inspiring and motivating others, especially Persons With Disability (PWDs) to contribute their abilities to better the society, in spite of the disability.

The CHIL Awards is named after the late mother of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the H4P organisation, Mrs Christina Anasiwa Hackman, for her meritorious and impactful service to humanity, especially, PWDs.

Mrs Hackman was known and revered for her passion, interest and impact on the welfare of others, especially that of the disability community in Ghana. She was instrumental in the birthing, planning and executing of H4P projects like the Helping Hand TV Show, the Helping Hand Community Project, the H4P Melo-Drama Concerts and the H4P Christmas Parties for Special Children and Families.

Others are the H4P National Inter-Schools Disability Fun Games, the H4P Career Guidance and Counselling Programme for Special Education Schools and the H4P Ability Praise Concert.

The H4P Organisation in partnership with Fire City Chapel presents the ‘Ability Praise Concert’ 2023 featuring performances solely from PWDs. The maiden edition of this novel initiative by Bishop Dr. Charles Hackman, founder and CEO of the H4P Organisation took place on February 5, 2022 as part of efforts to redefine the erroneous labels and misconceptions associated with disability.

This year’s programme will once again bring dignity to disability by throwing the spotlight on the amazing talents and abilities of PWDs in Arts and Entertainment.

The Ability Praise Concert, like other H4P projects and initiatives, solidifies the notion that PWDs can contribute meaningfully to national development and this includes the Creative Arts Industry where there is a very low representation of PWDs.

The Ability Praise Concert is set to take place on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 4 pm at Fire City Chapel, Teshie Camp 2, Last Stop. This free event promises to be exciting and impactful as it features PWDs who are skilled in playing musical instruments, singing, poetry recital and dancing. The concert will draw several stakeholders in the Disability Community.

The H4P Organisation has for more than a decade instituted the Helping Hand Project, which constitutes the Helping Hand Community Project and the Helping Hand TV Show. Whereas the Helping Hand Community Project seeks to offer needed supports to identified special education schools, families with PWDs, disability organisations, and largely, individuals with disability, the Helping Hand TV Show aims at creating an educative and reliable media advocacy platforms on television and on social media for PWDs.
