Highlife legend, Harry Abban announces return with Otilo

Highlife legend, Harry Abban has announced his return to the music scene with a new song dubbed ‘Otilo’.

“Maye Krado” hitmaker revealed at a listening session held on Friday, September 22, at the MJ Grand Hotel, that he is back for good.

According to him, he has over 100 recorded songs with the late renowned sound engineer, Bodo Staiger, however, he is releasing about three this year, with Otilo as the lead song.

Talking about Otilo to wit, to bolt away, he said it touches on building a solid relationship with your partner.

According to him, the song highlights some of the challenges in relationships and how one could manage issues for a better future.

Harry Abban started his musical journey in 1995 when legendary highlife musician and producer, Charles Amoah first recorded him.

After his second album in 1997, he left the shores of Ghana for Europe, however, due to family issues, he had to take a hiatus in his music career.

He added that now that he has raised his family in Europe there is time on his hands to pursue his career once again.

 Miss Ghana 2025 finalists unveiled

 The talented 16 contestants have been unveiled at a grand ceremony held at the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra last Saturday.

These finalists made the cut following gruelling auditions in No­vember 2024, where young women from across the country show­cased their beauty, intelligence, and passion for service.

According to the organisers, the search is for a queen who exem­plifies selflessness, intelligence, discipline, and dedication to soci­etal service.

The contestants will go through calculated weekly tasks ahead of the highly anticipated grand finale on March 29, 2025.

Each contestant will now rep­resent their respective regions as they compete for the prestigious Miss Ghana 2025 crown.

Organised by Exclusive Events Ghana and Miss Ghana Foundation, the Miss Ghana pageant is more than just a beauty competition.

As part of the modalities, the winner will not only represent Ghana on the global stage at Miss World but will also lead charitable initiatives under the Miss Ghana Foundation, focusing on support­ing vulnerable communities.

The contestants expressed their readiness to prove their mettle in the competition for the ultimate.
