Kyekyeku invites Samira Bawumia for ‘1957’ premiere

Budding Ghanaian actor, Kyekyeku, has invited the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia for the premiere of his maiden ‘1957’ movie in Accra.
Kyekyeku and his team who paid a courtesy call to the Second Lady at her office in Accra on Monday presented an invite to her for the premiere set for the National Theatre on April 27.
In his brief remark, Kyekyeku, real name, Bismark Ofori explained that the ‘1957’ movie tackles issues of peaceful co-existence among tribes in Ghana.
He also called for support from corporate Ghana and the government to develop the creative sector.
“We need to invest more in the sector as it is capable of marketing the country and providing a source of livelihood to many when well projected,” he stated.
Mrs Samira Bawumia on her part expressed appreciation to Kyekyeku and his team for the invite.
She accepted the invitation and pledged to support the young actor’s project and the industry.
“Together, we can develop the industry and provide the avenue for young ones like Kyekyeku to grow and contribute to national growth,” she stated.

You’re Artiste of the Year- Patoranking tells King Promise

Celebrated Nigerian musician, Patoranking has tipped King Promise as Ghana’s Artiste of the Year.
According to him, King Promise is best suited to be awarded Artiste of the Year at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
He made this comment when performing at a concert staged by King Promise at Washington DC in the United States yesterday.
It would be recalled that King Promise whiles performing last weekend in Ghana made the point the he has worked hard that any artiste in the country and deserves to be crowned the ultimate.
This point made stirred the music space, making other pundits and journalists recounts the successes he chalked last year.
Born Gregory Bortey Newman, King Promise had global appeal in the year under review with successful tours across Asia, including Bali, as proof of his influence beyond Ghana’s borders.
He also rocked music lovers in Europe, Africa, North and South America among others.
Currently, King Promise is on a tour of United State filling auditoriums and delivering unforgettable experiences through his artistry.
He is nominated alongside King Paluta, Team Eternity, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Kweku Smoke and Joe Mettle.
