OB Black set to star in “Missing In Action” from Feb 8-10
Ghanaian stage and screen actor, OB Black is set to star in a hilarious play dubbed “Missing In Action”.
The stage play would take place at the ETS Drama Studio at the University of Ghana from February 8-10th, 2024.
“Missing In Action”, a Wiliam Kojo Agbeti play narrates a story: “In the throes of relentless war, Private Atswei, a seasoned and resilient female soldier is assigned a perilous lone mission to rescue her comrade, Lieutenant Sorkpor, behind enemy lines.”
Interestingly, a bond develops between them that transcends the battlefield. In the crucible of adversity, love blossoms, defying the harsh realities of war.
OB Black is a Ghanaian stage and screen Actor, who holds an M A. in Theatre Arts from the School of Performing Arts, Legon.
She has featured in stage plays, movies, series, and commercials.
Some of her stage works include Love Brewed In An African Pot (Stage Adaptation), Cinderella,The Trial of J.J. Rawlings,and Life is a Dream among others.
She also starred in To Have and To Hold, Accra Medics,Cocoa Brown, Coming to Africa, The Trial of Shatta Wale, Lucky and many others.
She hopes to use her talent to entertain, educate, and ultimately influence lives and society positively.

Stonebwoy endorses Aklerh as one of Ghana’s rising dancehall artiste
After an incredible win as Female Dancehall Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards last year, emerging artiste Aklerh has earned yet another major achievement: an endorsement from none other than international reggae-dancehall star Stonebwoy.
In an interview with OkayAfrica Channel, Stonebwoy praised Aklerh for her undeniable talent, calling her “an act to watch” in the Ghanaian music scene.
The endorsement follows Aklerh’s breakthrough victory at the maiden edition of the Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards, where she was celebrated for her contributions to the genre.
Aklerh’s recent success, along with this high-profile endorsement, signals a bright future for the dynamic artiste, who continues to impress audiences with her powerful vocals and bold performances.

4th edition of Western Gospel Awards slated for Nov. 10
Prolific GH, organizers of the Western Gospel Awards have announced the 4th edition of Western Gospel Awards (WGA 24) will come off on Sunday November 10, 2024 at the Word of Life Assemblies of God Church at Anaji in Takoradi.
Awarding Gospel Artistes of Western Region descent, the awards aim to reward talents who are propagating the gospel to Showcase the best in music and amplify the voices of artists creating an inclusive and unforgettable experience of God through music in 24 categories.
Organizers revealed, “Through this event, we aspire to achieve the vision of building a massive social – spiritual movement and community for all people across the country and beyond using music to inspire personal conversions, communal cohesion, social justice, and cultural renewal in the Western, Western north region and the world to ultimately make a positive difference”.
The Western Gospel Awards is designed to Recognize, Appreciate, Celebrate and Honor Creativity, and Ingenuity in Gospel Music. In the long run, we aspire to foster quality works from these Artistes through the awards system and event” the Organizers added.
This year’s event sees performances by Legendary Rev. Yawson and Tagoe Sisters, also on bill we have Team Eternity, Kofi Kari-Kari, SK Frimpong, Lady Joy, Ruger Quarm, Lordable Holm, Shedrack Tronu. amongst others.
The Blue carpet starts at 4 pm and the main event slated for 6pm. The awards ceremony will be hosted by celebrated media personality Nana Quasi – Wusu (PM), with Akousa Tilly and youth empowerment activist Nana Ama Divine as hostesses for the Blue carpet.
The 4TH edition of the Western Gospel Awards will be aired live on selected radio stations in Western Region, social media platforms of WGA, as well as some selected TV stations.
