The Arts Legendary Wall of Fame Honours collaborates with GBC to honour Joe Lartey

The Arts Legendary Wall of Fame Honours, founded by The Pan African Art Ambassa­dor Prince Kojo-Hilton, has cele­brated veteran sports broadcaster, Joe Lartey.

This is an initiative aimed at honouring outstanding Ghanaian heroes who have contributed im­mensely to the growth and devel­opment of Ghana’s cultural heri­tage, creative Arts and sciences.

The event which was held on January 9, 2023 at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) was aired live on Unique FM 95.7 and on GTV Breakfast Show.

In its third edition, it celebrated the 95 year-old living-legend, Mr. Joachim Awuley Lartey who is also known by the accolade, “Over To You Joe Lartey”.

The event, composed of a tradi­tional “Sebrewa” tune performed by Abena Osei Korankye showered praises on the honouree.

It was followed by poetry recit­al by Makida El-Husseini which got Mr. Joe Lartey emotional and wooled him to uncontrollable tears.

The event, which also comprised the showcasing of the living leg­end’s awards and citations over the years, revealed his achievements and his undented service to the public.

The short ceremony was crowned with the unveiling of a monumen­tal painting, made by the artist, Ambassador Prince Kojo-Hilton to honour Mr. Joachim Awuley Lartey, A.K.A “Over To You Joe Lartey”.

This monumental painting is now housed at GBC to celebrate the living legend and serve as a source of inspiration to this generation and generations to come.

 Miss Ghana 2025 finalists unveiled

 The talented 16 contestants have been unveiled at a grand ceremony held at the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra last Saturday.

These finalists made the cut following gruelling auditions in No­vember 2024, where young women from across the country show­cased their beauty, intelligence, and passion for service.

According to the organisers, the search is for a queen who exem­plifies selflessness, intelligence, discipline, and dedication to soci­etal service.

The contestants will go through calculated weekly tasks ahead of the highly anticipated grand finale on March 29, 2025.

Each contestant will now rep­resent their respective regions as they compete for the prestigious Miss Ghana 2025 crown.

Organised by Exclusive Events Ghana and Miss Ghana Foundation, the Miss Ghana pageant is more than just a beauty competition.

As part of the modalities, the winner will not only represent Ghana on the global stage at Miss World but will also lead charitable initiatives under the Miss Ghana Foundation, focusing on support­ing vulnerable communities.

The contestants expressed their readiness to prove their mettle in the competition for the ultimate.
