Forty pupils who have successfully gone through basic education, have graduated at the Aglow Early Childhood Development Centre, Madina in the La Nkwantanang Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The graduation ceremony which was the 35th in the history of the school, was under the theme,”The rights of the child- key to national development.”
The graduands entertained the gathering with poetry recitals, cultural dance, French drama and a sublime form of military drill by the school’s cadet corps.
The Director of Finance and Administration at the Madina La Nkwantanang Municipality, Mr Joseph Yaw Baidoo, who was the Guest Speaker, urged parents to ensure that the rights and educational needs of children were met to guarantee their success in the future.
“ You parents have to play a key role in raising children because you are the first teachers at home and this task must be carried out perfectly to complement the efforts of teachers at school “,he advised.
Mr Baidoo urged parents to encourage their children with positive words, refrain from insulting them and take good care of them since rapid brain growth occurred in children between the fifth and sixth years of their development.
The Director of Aglow Early Childhood Development Centre, Mr Eric Kwakyi, also assured parents that the school would raise disciplined and responsible pupils who would grow to become good leaders for the country and beyond.
He urged parents to make their wards feel at home and pay their fees promptly to promote smooth academic work.
