602, 457 candidates sat for this year’s BECE nationwide

This year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) kick-started this week and a total of 602, 457 students participated in it.
The figure includes 1,743 Private Candidates.
The BECE is the assessment examination taken by students at the end of their Junior High School (JHS) education. The students are assessed in a range of subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies, among others.
It is an important milestone in the lives of young students in Ghana as it marks their transition from basic to Secondary education.
