I survived nasal-bone fracture – Wendy Shay breaks silence

Multiple Ghanaian musician, Wendy Shay has disclosed that her recent accident led to her surviving a Nasal-bone fracture.

A nasal bone fracture occurs when the nose impacts against a solid object, it is a break in the bone or cartilage over the bridge, or in the sidewall or septum (the structure that divides the nostrils) of the nose.

Recounting the accident on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty, Wendy Shay said she was returning home after visiting label mate Kiki Marley, and when she got close to a junction leading to her home, she felt a big push behind her.

“I Was going home, I had finished creating content to promote my new song Every Man Cheats, and I passed by my label-mate Kiki Marley just to say hi, and to help her with her content as well,” she disclosed.

According to her, “I had to branch to my junction and all of a sudden I felt a big push, I almost lost control. I remember all I was screaming was Jesus because it happened so fast.”

Wendy Shay further added “I didn’t know what was going on. I entered the gutter, it was when I realised I was safe.”

The Survivor hitmaker noted, “I didn’t even realise when my head hit the dashboard, but all of a sudden, I realised I was blacking out, so they had to rush me to the hospital.”

She disclosed that “I survived a nasal-bone fracture, my face, everywhere was swollen, so now I cover the dark spots with spectacles, I am better now.”

Wendy Shay was involved in an accident on the ACP Estate-Kwabenya stretch after visiting a label mate, Kiki Marley on September 10, 2023.

 Ghana need industry bank to fund talents — Rocky Jigga

 Ghanaian UK-based afrobeat singer, Emmanuel Rocky Gyeniaw Jnr known in entertainment circles as Rocky Jigga has expressed the need for an industry bank to fund talents.

According to him, this will help Gha­naian musicians to compete effectively with their foreign counterparts.

Rocky Jigga believes that many talent­ed musicians have coiled back into their shells due to funding challenges.

“There’s more room for improvement. The industry needs more investors from both the government and private sector at large. We need an industry bank that funds talents, events and everything entertaining,” he said.

The song which came with its video was produced by B Boat and it empha­sised a man’s preference for an ideal woman irrespective of the size.

Gospel artist, Israel Ofori has released a new single titled ‘My Everything.’

The song is already making waves on various music platforms.

Speaking to The Spectator after the release, he said he was in­spired by the words in Psalm 42 vs 1 “As the deer pants after water brooks, so pants my soul after thee, O God.”

He acknowledges God as his source, and everything, thereby encouraging all Christians and the human race to see God as their source.

In the song, Israel Ofori en­courages Christians and lovers of gospel music to acknowledge God as their source of everything, saying “when you put God first, everything will align in favour.
