Frema Adunyame speaking to the girls
Television personality Frema Adunyame through her outfit, Adunyame Foundation, has held a workshop at the Tesano Cluster of Schools in Accra as part of efforts to empower young girls in the country.
The workshop which brought together over 150 students aged between 11 and 17, formed part of the foundation’s Aketesia Project.
The initiative, aimed at empowering over 200,000 young girls across the country saw the girls engaged in discussions about reproductive health, child labour and career development.
The topics were considered to be fundamental as far as the holistic development of young girls were concerned.
The foundation also established a girls’ club within the school with a resident teacher serving as a liaison for the foundation, ensuring a sustained and effective impact on the students.
Speaking at the event, the Broadcast Journalist Frema Adunyame, encouraged the girls to remain focused and work hard towards attaining higher education.
“Continue to be disciplined and learn hard to become useful to your parents and the country at large,” she stated.
