Afenyo Markin should have been suspended -Bright Asamoah
Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Bright Asamoah has wondered why minority leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin was not suspended by the Speaker.
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, suspended 4 MPs.
The MPs are, Frank Annor Dompreh, Rockson Dafeamekpor, Hassan Tampuli, and Jerry Ahmed Shaib.
The four were suspended for their role in the chaotic scenes witnessed on the evening of Thursday, January 30 during proceedings of the Appointments Committee.
Speaking to the media today in parliament, Bright Asamoah said, “Minority leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin is lucky to have escaped suspension. He orchestrated the whole thing, I was right there and I can’t understand why others have been suspended and he is allowed to go scot free.”
