Akwamuman Adaekese celebrates Adaekese …Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III woos investors
The chiefs and people of Akwamu Traditional Area in the Eastern Region have celebrated this year’s Odwira Akyi Adaekese as the final Akwasidae festival of 2021.
The occasion brought together many dignitaries including the U.S. Ambassador to Ghana, Mrs. Stephanie S. Sullivan and Mr. Eliphas Barine, the High Commissioner of Kenya to Ghana.
Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III, the Paramount Chief addressing the gathering said the main priority of the Akwamuman is to be the finest destination of tourism and culture base on the strategic location of the mountains, the Volta Lake and other viable economic ventures in the area.
“This area is noted for its rich cultural and tourist attractions including the Akosombo Dam, Adomi Bridge and a number of islands,”
He said that the place was the home of a variety of historical heritage materials and archival documents in the country.
Odeneho Akoto III called on investors, especially those in the area of tourism to invest in Akwamuman and pledged the full support of the chiefs and people.
He said that education continued to remain his priority for the youth in the area.
