Alan’s Exit: We will survive and win 2024 elections- Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, affectionately called Chairman Wontumi has reiterated the party’s resolve to win the next election.
Responding to the resignation of former Presidential Candidate hopeful, Alan Kyerematen, Mr.Antwi Boasiako said regardless of the perceived challenges it would cause, the party will overcome and unite for victory.
Speaking on Wontumi FM in Kumasi, he said that the primaries for the Members of Parliament would also cause some rancours, however, he was optimistic that the party will overcome and win the 2024 elections.
According to him prior to the 2016 elections, the NPP was hit with a huge turmoil which made people they will not survive as an opposition.
He said three key national executives, the National Chairman, Paul Afoko, Second Vice Chairman, Sammy Crabbe and the General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong were suspended.
He added that in the midst of this, they lost the Adams Mahama, Upper West Regional Chairman of the party as a result of the wranglings in the party.
This notwithstanding, he said the party survived, and won the 2016 elections.
Chairman Wontumi said, the current happenings in the party cannot be compared to what they are experiencing now.
Against this backdrop, he said NPP will bounce back stronger as a united front and win the 2024 elections.
He called on the rank and file of the party to remain calm and push the breaking the eight agenda.
