 Amenfiman SHS qualifies for NSMQ competition

 Amenfiman Senior High School (AMENSS) in the Wassa Amenfi East District in the Western Region has qualified to participate in the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) competi­tion.

Represented by Masters Ebenezer Tetteh, Paul Ayehu, and Raymond Amoaful the school emerged winners at the NSMQ regional qualifiers com­petition held on June 7, 2023 after beating Tarkwa SHS, Axim Girls’ SHS, and Nsein SHS.

The Headmaster of the school Mr Isaac Mickson in an interview with The Spectator expressed his heartfelt Joy for the success chalked by the school’s contestants. He urged them to work hard to enable them win the national compe­tition.

He has, therefore, appealed to old students of the school to assist them in acquiring the requisite academic materials for the school’s quiz club.

Established in 1976 through the drive with an initial en­rolment of 38 students, and exertion of the good people of Wassa Amenfi. AMENSS which was formally opened with 38 the school can now boast of more than 1300 student popu­lation.

Amenfiman S.H.S has been categorised as a grade “B” school by the Ghana Edu­cation Service, and aims at providing quality teaching based on sound academic and moral principles delivered by well-qualified and motivated graduate teachers backed by an efficient non-teaching staff.

The school has performed very well with the motto “WISDOM DWELLS WITH PRU­DENCE’, at the West African Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).
