Appiatse needs support – Pastor

An itinerant male preacher has called for national prayers for the people of Appiatse who have been rendered homeless by an unnatural cause.

He said that what happened at the place “calls for intercessory prayers so that there will be divine intervention to stop the recurrence of such disasters in the country”.

Appiatse, a farming Community near Bogoso in the Western Region was last Thursday rocked by a devastating explosion which claimed lives and properties with many people sustaining various degrees of injury.

The entire community has been flattened by blasts from 10 tonnes of explosives being conveyed by a truck to the Chirano mining site also in the Western Region.

Preaching at the Neoplan Station at the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange on Tuesday, the “man of God” said that though the inhabitants needed material support, it behoved also on Ghanaians to give them (victims) the spiritual support as regards the emotional and psychological trauma they were going through at the moment.

“I am pleading with all the religious groups in Ghana to pray for the souls of the people of Appiatse in their trying moment,” he said.
