ATU holds matriculation for over 18,000 freshers

the Accra Technical University (ATU), has admitted a total of 18, 669 new students out of 22,230 applicants to pursue various courses in Masters of Technology, Higher National Degree, Diploma and non-tertiary programme.
On Saturday at the school’s premises, the oath of matriculation was administered to them to signify their formal admission into the institution.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Amevi Acakpovi, advised the students to set clear and personal goals to guide their path to success.
According to him, university life presents both opportunities and challenges and one’s ability to remain resilient and adaptable will determine how well they navigate them.
“The main reason why you are here is to focus on your studies with honesty and diligence and nothing else,” he added.
He encouraged students to prioritise time management, collaboration and self-discipline to enhance academic performance and shape their professional future.
Prof. Acakpovi asked the fresh students to engage actively in learning, seek mentorship and embrace team work because through this it can bring out the best in the students.
