Black Sherif Wins Artiste of the year at GMA-USA.

Black Sherif on Sunday,August 26, was adjudged Taptap Send Ghana Music Awards-USA Artiste of the Year. This year’s GMA-USA took place at Lincoln Theatre in Columbos Ohio.

The programme which was attended by people from many parts of United States of America witnessed another classic performance from Ghanaian musicians Kwabena Kwabena, Kumi Guitar and many others. When asked about the attendance in an interview with thespectatoronline.com, The Chief Executive Officer (CEO)of GMA-USA, Dennis Boafo, affectionately called Don D admitted the numbers were not what they expected.

“Some people bought tickets with fraudulent credit cards and also some bought a lot of tickets but did not show up. I don’t know why someone will intentionally do that but it doesn’t take away from us. It shows us how unsupportive we are as a people,” he lamented.

According to him, “Some people hustle us for tickets, only for them to call at the last minute to return it. It was a tough weekend, but we remained GMA-USA and delivered.”

He disclosed that as organisers, they are focused on the 5th anniversary, and are poised to celebrate the Ghanaian culture, music and stars in a grand style.
