Black Stars donate to students of Dzorwulu Special School before Angola trip
The Black Stars demonstrated their commitment to social responsibility by visiting the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra, where they spent quality time with the students and staff of the School before departing for Luanda.
Led by Captain Jordan Ayew, the team, including Kingsley Schindler, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Gideon Mensah, Ransford Yeboah Koningsdorffer, and Razak Simpson, showed their support and compassion.
Accompanying them were Team Manager Ameenu Shardow, Director of Communications Henry Asante Twum, and Director of the GFA Foundation Malcom Appeadu.
“On behalf of the Ghana Football Association, the Black Stars Technical team and my colleagues, we came here to spend time with you (inmates) and to offer our little support to you as part of our contribution to your growth’’ Captain Jordan Ayew told ghanafa.org.
He added, “For us, we believe that lending a hand of support is divine and a virtue that we all need to develop to help the underprivileged in society. We have been making a lot of donations and visitations before games but today, we thought it wise to come over here and support you.”
“We seek your prayers and support going into our crucial game against Angola on Friday,’’ the Leicester City forward added.
During their visit, the team generously donated food items, water and an undisclosed amount of money to the school, bringing joy and smiles to the faces of the students.
This kind gesture underscores the Black Stars’ dedication to giving back to the community and making a positive impact beyond the football pitch.
