Defending champions Dreams FC are in the reckoning for another shot at the title they won after beating King Faisal last year as they take on Bofoakwa Tano tomorrow.
Last year semifinalist Nsoatreman FC will battle Legon Cities for progression to the final today.
Dreams FC see the FA Cup as an avenue to return to continental football again after making history this season with a semifinal berth in the Confederations Cup.
Dreams FC overcame Susubiribi FC 1-0 in the Round of 64 game, Heart of Lions 2-0 in the Round of 32 game, Koforidua Semper Fi FC 4-1 in the Round of 16 stage, before accounting for Soccer Intellectuals 1-0 at the quarter-finals stage.
On the other hand, Bofoakwa Tano beat Sunyani Oxford FC 3-0 in the Round of 64, Berekum City 1-0 in the Round of 32, and Wa Power FC 1-0 in the Round of 16 before beating Skyy FC 5-4 on penalties at the quarter-finals stage.
Bofoakwa are battling relegation and see this game as a chance to dream big.
Before that game, Nsoatreman FC will come up against Legon Cities in the first semi-finals today.
Nsoatreman FC’s journey to the semi-finals saw them beat Maana FC 3-0, defeat Victory Club Warriors 1-0, and blow away Berekum Chelsea 5-3 on penalties before pipping Karela United 1-0 in the quarterfinals.
For Legon Cities, the road to the semi-finals took off perfectly with a 3-0 win over Accra Lions, a 4-0 victory over Koforidua Suhyen Sporting Club, before accounting for Nania FC 2-1 and beat Bechem United 1-0 in the quarterfinals.
Last season’s semi-finalist, Nsoatreman FC, is dreaming of going a step further this time around, but Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin and his boys are plotting otherwise.
