E/R KNUST Alumni donates food items to the Hour of Grace Orphanage

 The Eastern Regional Chapter of the Kwame Nkrumah Uni­versity of Science and Technol­ogy (KNUST) Alumni led by Pharm. Bright Boateng honoured children of the Hour of Grace Orphanage, at Huhunya in the Yilo Krobo district with a special visit to the facility to mark the Christmas celebration.

The group donated items such as bags of rice, boxes of biscuits and toffees, two bags of gari, cartons of milk, toiletries, boxes of Milo, Nido, sardines, and other essential items worth over GH¢10,000.

The children, who were visibly thrilled by the surprise visit, were treated to a fun-filled afternoon of Christian songs, laughter, and merri­ment.

According to the leader of the Alum­ni, Mr Bright Boateng, the group’s aim was to bring immense joy to the little children.

“We are here once again to honour our pledge to the children and to encourage them to continue trusting in the Almighty Jehovah who brought them to the world” he said.

He announced that for the past six years the alumni has never forgotten the children in the orphanage.

The Mother of the home, Maame Ansah, received the items on behalf of the children and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and gener­ousity.

“We are overwhelmed by the sup­port and generosity, because it has brought so much joy and happiness to our children, and we are deeply grate­ful for your kindness,” she stated.

She said that the Regional KNUST alumni’s visit was a testament to the true spirit of Christmas, which is about giving, sharing, and spreading of love and kindness.

She urged others to let the selfless act of the alumni inspire them to follow in their footsteps and support the orphanage in its mission to pro­vide care and support to vulnerable children
