Fomena, Assin Bereku health centres receive medical supplies

Fomena and Assin Bereku Health centres have taken delivery of assorted medical supplies,thanks to the First Baptist Congregation Church, Chicago USA in collaboration with Christians Helping Children International (CHCI), a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), Ghana.
The medical supplies which included antibiotics, anasthesia and some non consumableswere worth GH¢60,000.00.
Rev. Dr. George W. Daniels, Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Congregation church, backed by Deacons-Timothy L. Davis, Russell Warren, Ronald Myers and the founder and Director of CHCI Henry TweneboahKoduah at both health centers, tasked the managements of the facilities to use the medical supplies to support the people of the communities to achieve good health.
The Tufuhene of AssinBereku, Nana FrimpongBaahwho applauded the Church for its generosity, admitted that the supply had come at a time when the health center had run out of supplies and were unable to serve the community well.
He stressed that the status quo had compelled people to visit the AssinFosu Hospital for medical care and “I am optimistic the situation is going to change”.
A Physician Assistant, AbenaOwusuBoakyewaa thanked the team for its nice gesture and called for further support.
The District Director for Health, Adansi North District, Eric Atuahene, promised to hand over the medical supplies to the Fomena Health Center and ensure that, they were put to good use.
