Friday Night: I’m grateful for the support – Lasmid

The man behind FridayNight banger, Lasmid, has expressed surprise at how his song has gone viral and the kind of reception received from industry players and music lovers.

According to him, he would like to express his appreciation the to everyone who has helped him chalk this feat, making the song top various music charts in the country.

Speaking to The Spectator, hesaid, the Friday Night song which has become the toast of many was not the song the team had wanted to release at the time, adding that the speed at which it went viral came as a surprise to them.

Talking about the composition, he said, it was his birthday, and for that reason he decided to work on a song, he played the beat, but was not pleased with it, because it didn’t sound nice to him.

He listened to it the next day, and it sounded better, “the beat was banging in the studio, it sounded better now, I said to myself I could do something on this beat and added some melodies to it, and here we are.”

The budding talent said before the year ends, he would release a new song and an Extended Play.

Lasmid, who also won the the season 8 of music reality show, MTN Hitmaker, urged his fans to continuously support him for he has more surprises for them.
