Ghana’s Tech Talent Shines: Minister Explores Partnership with Local Device Repair Expert

Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), yesterday with Malfred Kwame Kudu, a local tech enthusiast who has gained international recognition for his exceptional device repair skills.   

His impressive work was showcased on social media where he demonstrated his ability to re-engineer iPhones to accept global SIM cards.

 According to Malfred Kwame Kudu, his journey is a testament to self-taught and dedication. 

He attended Kumasi Secondary Technical School, where he studied applied electricity and began repairing devices for his teachers from skills and knowledge gained through YouTube tutorials and online courses. 

 He has a passion for teaching others and has therefore expressed a desire to create a platform for people to learn and develop their skills which presents a great opportunity for collaboration and knowledge sharing. The Ministry is exploring ways of partnership with him.

This potential partnership, according to Hon. Sam Nartey George (MP) could provide employment opportunities for many people. 

The Ministry is excited about the possibility of working together to create a programme for mutual benefit. “We are thrilled to see the talent and innovation that exists in our country”,  Samuel Nartey George said. 

“We look forward to exploring ways to support and empower individuals like Malfred Kwame Kudu who are making a positive impact in the tech industry. The Ministry is committed to promoting digitalization and innovation and this partnership could be a significant step towards achieving those goals”, the Minister said.
