The Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture, Yaw Frimpong Addo, says government will continue to support young Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
He made the pledge when speaking to entrepreneurs at ‘Tuesday Market’ on the Ghana Exim Bank (GEXIM) premises on November 5, 2024.
GEXIM has held a three-day Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) Fair dubbed ‘Farmer’s Mart’ as part of activities to mark this year’s edition of the annual National Farmers’ Day celebrations.
Enthused by the display of Made-in- Ghana products and value addition, Yaw Frimpong Addo said this shows their readiness for bigger markets.
Against this backdrop, Mr Addo urged them to tap into the various opportunities created by GEXIM.
He said government would continue to create the enabling environment and introduce ground-breaking initiatives to increase growth in agriculture and reforms to improve the regulatory framework to attract more private investment into the sector.
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer responsible for Banking, Ms. Rosemary Beryl Archer, also said her outfit would continue to collaborate and support them with advisory services to help them grow their businesses.
She said the board and staff of GEXIM were behind the entrepreneurs with the right facilities, adding that they would continue with their value-addition mission to further broaden the horizons of these young entrepreneurs.
Ms. Rosemary Beryl Archer and the Deputy Minister went round and engaged all the exhibitors and encouraged them on their journey, assuring them of the government’s support.
The fair witnessed an exhibition of a wide range of innovative, affordable, authentic, and quality Made- In-Ghana products and services of world-class standard.
