Grace Is Luxury: Evans Scot recounts how he became a testimony of Grace

Fast-rising Ghanaian urban gospel musician, Evans Scot has recounted how Grace has changed his destiny over time.

The musician gave this testimony at an exclusive listening session of his new AfroGospel EP dubbed, ‘Grace is Luxury’.

The EP made up of six songs namely, Holy Father, 100 Per Cent, Map3k3, Best Side, Pentecoast featuring MOG,  and Aye featuring Perez,  will be available for streaming after a release concert on November 18.

Speaking at the listening party which took place inside The Cosmopolitan at The Earl-beam Plaza, Dzorwulu in Accra, he said “I have experienced the Grace of God in my life, from my transition, I had a very bad start. Where I was born, bad, where I was raised, bad, where I came to school bad, from school to where I stayed, worse, I come from a small family where you don’t get to see what really is luxury in the lives of people.”

Recounting his story, he said at a point in his life, he stayed in Dodowa, moved to Koforidua, to Teshie, and finally to Tema.

According to the musician,  through his personal journey, Grace has been sufficient, “when I look back, the kind of things I have been through and survived, it could have only been the Grace of God, people go through this same thing and are no more.”

Evans Scot further added that he has come to realise that the Grace he is experiencing goes beyond money, “because when I didn’t have money I was still surviving,  this Grace goes beyond the flashy things, cars because when I didn’t have cars, Grace was there.”

“When I didn’t have someone to mentor me, guide me, to teach me to understand the things of life, Grace was there for me, ” he added

He said looking at the successes chalked, platforms he has graced, coupled with the impact he has made in the lives of others, it could only be by God’s Grace.

Evans Scot added that he loves to be consistent, conscious and deliberate, for this reason, wherever he has gotten to, took a lot of time and hard work.

He added that when he started making an impact with his earlier songs, people thought being consistent was going to be difficult; however, he has been able to stand the test of time with his sound.
