IPR President, Esther Cobbah calls on Minister for Foreign Affairs

The President of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR)- Ghana Ms. Esther Cobbah accompanied by the President of African Public Relations Association (APRA), Mr. Arik Karani and officials from both institutions paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on March 4,2025.
The President took the opportunity to personally congratulate the Minister on his recent appointment, expressing confidence in his ability to enhance Africa’s international image.
She noted the IPR’s unwavering support for the Minister as he starts in his new role as a member of the institute and highlighted the potential of a strengthened relationship between IPR and the Ministry.
In his remarks the President of the African Public Relations Association (APRA), Mr. Arik Karani discussed the upcoming IPR Ghana Knowledge Conference and 50th anniversary celebrations of APRA.
The IPR delegation sought the Minister’s support to ensure that the conference and anniversary received the necessary support and visibility, reinforcing its importance in shaping Africa’s image narrative on the global stage.
In a gesture of appreciation, the Minister for Foreign Affairs acknowledged the congratulatory messages and reiterated his commitment to providing all the necessary support to enhance Africa’s image.
He expressed optimism that closer collaboration with institutions like IPR would contribute positively to diplomatic and public relations efforts in Ghana and Africa.
The meeting concluded on a note of mutual understanding and shared purpose, with both parties looking forward to future collaborations.
