Kennedy Agyapong summoned before Disciplinary Committee over “showdown” comment

Flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has been hauled before the party’s Disciplinary Committee over “Showdown” comment.

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong was seen livid in a viral video at just ended Super Delegates Conference, threatening give the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Vice President, Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia a showdown.

According to him, some of his agents were chased out of some polling stations during the elections.

Against this backdrop, irate Kennedy Agyapong vowed to give the President and his Vice President a showdown.

The party leadership not enthused by the content of the video invited him to face the Disciplinary Committee to further clarify his statement.

Following this, Kennedy Agyapong complied with the invitation and showed up at party headquarters today.

Kennedy Agyapong qualified for the next phase of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential race in November after springing a surprise, surpasing Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and other contenders who were tipped ahead of him.
