Kofi Adjorlolo honoured at TAFF 2021 as African Film Legend

Veteran Ghanaian actor and film producer, Mr. Kofi Adjorlolo, has been honoured by the African Film Legend at The African Film Festival  2021 awards ceremony.

The five-day annual festival which was held from June 1 to 5, was organised through a virtual ceremony in Accra due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

His award was for Best Actor in a Lead role and four times Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Ghana Movie Awards. 

The citation read, “For the immense contribution of Mr Adjorlolo in the film industry in Ghana and beyond, the utmost credible and much valued film festival and the biggest major African Film Streaming and Distribution site rootflix honours him as the African Film Legend 2021 for his indelibly tangible contribution, impact, made to uplift the industry.”

The African Film Festival is a global Film Festival which awards, rewards African films, African filmmakers, actors, a festival that puts African films on the global market.

The festival has honoured many renowned filmmakers all over Africa and some in the diaspora. 

Other prestigious awards he has won are the African Movie Academy Awards,  the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Golden Image Award from former Liberian President, Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and the Best Cameo Actor at the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards.

Born March 23, 1956, at Keta  in the Volta Region, Kofi Adjorlolo is a major stakeholder in the film industry in Ghana and Africa at large.
