Let’s broaden our audience for international breakthrough …Maureen Biniyam urges Ghanaian artistes

United States of America-based Ghanaian gospel musician, Maureen Biniyam has urged Ghanaian musicians to broaden the scope of their audience in their quest to breakthrough globally.

She believes there is the need to broaden and expand audience beyond the borders of Ghana.

Speaking to The Spectator, she said, to get streams, views and mount stages in other territories, there was the need for effective promotions among others, to get the needed attention.

“We have what it takes to make impact in the music industry globally, I think we do have many wonderful talents, all we need to do is broaden and expand our views and audience outside our space,” she said.

According to her, doing music in USA was wonderful, however, the only challenge was coming back to Ghana for promotion and other activation, which she believed was crucial for the craft to be appreciated.

She added that it was a little challenging but by the grace of God and with the right connections and prayers, she would get there.

“Everything takes time, I have been doing it since 2019, recording, even though I have been composing and had songs almost 20 years ago,” she said.

Maureen who released Ghana Worship Medley in April has urged her fans to expect an album or an EP soon.
