Mary Mother of Good Counsel Parish organises maiden business expo

An exhibition stand
The Mary Mother of Good Counsel Parish in Accra has organised a maiden business expo and a cooking competition in a bid to boost the capacity of entrepreneurs.
The three-day event dubbed, ‘Raising Kingdom financiers through business and entrepreneurship,’ brought a number of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to showcase their goods and services which ranged from clothing, foods and beverages, cosmetics, among others.
Over thousands of individuals trooped to the place to participate in the event.
At the opening, there was a panel discussion on improving businesses as a starter and navigating ways to grow them.
The second day of the event was spiced with a keen cooking competition and a business fair where various day groups contested for bragging right in cooking jollof rice, which was won by the Wednesday-born group.
In an interview with The Spectator, Mr. Antoine Sasu Kondoh, the Parish Youth Chairman at the Mary Mother of Good Counsel underscored the need for the youth and Ghanaians of all age brackets to go into entrepreneurship.
According to him, entrepreneurship was a viable alternative tool for acquiring economic freedom and building a resilient business for oneself.
Madam Phillipine Senam, a member of the organising team expressed appreciation to all members and hoped the next edition would be bigger.
