Miss Golden Stool Week 6: Awura wins Best Performer

24-year-old native of Asante Mampong and a graduate of the University of Ghana, Awura was on Week 6 of the Miss Golden Stool Beauty pageant adjudged the Best Performer.

The night was dedicated to females who have made marks as trailblazers as contestants celebrated of Great Female Icons both locally and internationally.

Clad in a South African outfit, Awura celebrated the late Zenzile Miriam Makeba, affectionately called Mama Africa.

In her narration, she revealed that Makeba was born in the township of Prospect, near Johannesburg, on 4 March 1932 and died in November 2008.

Awura told the story of how Makeba discovered her talent, her struggles and success story.

Awura, whose creativity and ability to narrate the story in a more relatable context won the hearts of the judges.

She was commended for her confidence on stage, narration and how she was able to involve the audience in her delivery.

For her prize, she was presented with products from sponsors product.

Luckily for the contestants, on the night there was no eviction this week.

Season 5 of Miss Golden Stool was launched at a spectacular event on October 15, 2023 on Adom TV.

The pageant is aimed at celebrating Ghana’s cultural diversity, beauty, talent, and intelligence of the contestants.
