Muntaka pledges support for Ghana for Ghana Police Service 

In a visit to the Ghana Police Service Headquarters today, in Accra, the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, commended the Ghana Police Service for their professionalism and dedication to duty during the 2024 general elections.

The Minister acknowledged the critical role the Ghana Police Service plays in maintaining law and order, protecting lives and properties, and ensuring the safety and security of all Ghanaians.

He expressed his commitment to supporting the Ghana Police Service in achieving its goals.

In line with the government’s manifesto, the Minister assured a comprehensive review of the national security architecture to ensure professionalism and insulation from political interference.

In the area of technological advancements, he noted that the Government intends to introduce state-of-the-art technology for police operations and expansion of the Police Hospital.

In his remarks, the Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, assured the Minister of the Service’s professionalism and commitment to ensuring peace and security in the country.

The Minister’s visit aims to provide a valuable opportunity for interaction and discussion on ways to improve the Ghana Police Service.
