NDC has developed Volta Region than any party- John Mahama 

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and former President, John Dramani Mahama asserted that they have developed the Volta Region more than any other party.

Speaking at a campaign event at Juapong in the North Tongu District of the Volta region, the former President said the propaganda by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that the NDC does not embark on any developmental project when in power is false.

According to the former President, the NDC stands tall in every area of development.

He said regardless of the propaganda, everything one finds in the Volta Region from health, education, water, roads, to agriculture among others were provided in the time of NDC.

According to him, they NPP only engages in lies, makes inroads into the Region, and after getting power they neglect the development needs of the people. 

He said many road projects which the erstwhile NDC administration started in the region had been abandoned by the NPP.

John Mahama therefore appealed to the people of Volta Region to relentlessly support and vote massively for the NDC in the next elections to continue its development agenda for them.

“If you look at the last election, we got above 84 percent, if you look at the 84 percent, it is not the highest we have gotten because, during Rawlings’ time, the NPP used to get single digit,” he said.

He concluded by saying “In 2020, they climbed and climbed, and they got 14 percent and so it means that they are making inroads into the Volta Region.”
