Okyeame Kwame to rock African Heritage Night Fundraising Dinner
One of Ghana’s musicians hoisting high the Ghana flag through music, Okyeame Kwame is set to rock patrons of the African Heritage Night Fundraising Dinner on Wednesday, March 6.
The event is themed “The Africa Heritage Night – Making a Contribution towards a Better Humanity.”
The event slated for the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel is to raise more funds for the construction of the $50m Pan African Heritage Museum on Heritage Hills, Pomadze, near Winneba Roundabout.
Speaking to thespectatoronline.com, Okyeame Kwame said, every African must take an active part in ensuring a befitting museum is built to protect the African heritage.
He said such edifice when built would play a pivotal role in telling the African story to the rest of the world.
For this reason, Okyeame Kwame has called on all well-meaning Ghanaians to join the initiative to make history.
The Museum designer, James Nnedu-George of Nigeria, Consulting Curator from Senegal Dr. Babacar MBow, and Sandra Appiah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Face2Face Africa will be present.
Ghana is building the biggest Pan-African museum in the world, a place where people can unlearn and relearn about their ancestors.
The Pan-African Heritage Museum, conceived as the first of its kind in the world, seeks to exhibit the history, arts, culture, achievements and ideals of the Pan-African world from the ancient to the present.
