Police refute allegation of militia training at Kwahu

The Ghana Police Service, has refuted claims that it is training some militiamen at Kwahu in the Eastern Region of the country.

According to them through its proactive media monitoring, it has noted a publication alleging the training of some militiamen at Kwahu in the Eastern Region, for the 2024 general elections. 

In a statement issued by the Ghana Police yesterday,  they indicated that “We wish to state that our investigation has found no evidence of such training in the area.”

They said “The Police have commenced investigation to identify those behind the false publication to come and answer for their actions in line with the due process of the law.”

“We wish to caution the public against the publication and dissemination of fake news,” the statement concluded.
