Queenmother takes child immunisation campaign to churches, markets

 Mama Attrato II, the Queenmoth­er of Ho-Dome, has intensified the campaign for immunisation of children against childhood diseases and sending the awareness creation to public spaces in Ho.

The Queenmother in efforts to get the message through to all has visit­ed the Ho Central market and some churches within the Ho township to re-activate the necessity to immunise children.

Mama Attrato encouraged the wom­en to ensure that their children were vaccinated against childhood diseases.

She said children were the future leaders of the country, therefore they must be protected by ensuring they were in good health.

The Queen mother said protection of children was a collective respon­sibility of all citizens, and asked churches to champion children’s welfare.

She encouraged mothers to take their child to a health facility to be weighed as weight gain was the most important sign that a child was grow­ing healthy and developing well.

The Queen mother also appealed to men to endeavour to take their preg­nant women to hospital for regular check-ups to ensure their health and that of their unborn children. —GNA
