Sad News: Highlife legend Nana Tuffour has died
Legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Nana Tuffour, affectionately called 9924, has passed away this morning.
A close family source who broke the news to Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty, said Nana Tuffour had been unwell for sometime now, but it got worse recently, leading to his death.
According to the source, the mortal remains had been sent to the Okomfo Anokye Hospital morgue.
He is known for songs like, Akatakyiwa, Odo Kakra Sika kakra, Owuo sei fie, Me yere dada and Abeiku among others.
Known in private life as James Kwaku Tuffour, the renowned Highlife singer/songwriter was born on Valentine’s Day in 1954. He spent his childhood in a home full of love in Kumasi, Ghana.
