Founder of Miss Golden Stool Beauty Contest, Sally Akua Amoakowaa has charged the 15 contestants competing for this year’s beauty pageant to take advantage of the platform afforded them to sell their regions.

According to her, each region had a unique cultural heritage which must be sold for the world to know and patronise.

She made these remarks during an interview with The Spectator at the launch of the pageant recently.

It takes somebody with a bold heart to take up the challenge of a reality show, because it demands creativity, money and hard work.

Akua Amoakowaa said that she and her team would build the confidence and emotional intelligence of the contestants adding that, as a beauty queen there could be attacks, and “if you do not have the heart coupled with resilience you will not be able to overcome it and succeed.”

She said, they had created the needed environment, groomed them but the contestants needed to deliver and market their diverse culture on the platform.

Co-founder of the pageant, Mrs Dora Owusu Adomah, also urged the various regions to vote massively for their representatives and called on corporate Ghana to support financially since the programme would help protect the country’s enviable cultural heritage.
