Solve water crisis at Dansoman Mataheko police quarters
Dear Editor,
I wish to draw the attention of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) over poor provision of water at the Dansoman Mataheko Police Quarters. Water supply to the above mentioned area is being made to look like a luxury nowadays as pipes are dry with residents forced to cover distances on foot before getting water for consumption or for chores.
The rate at which this problem has gone on is alarming. I relocated there recently and I’m struggling to cope with this constant lack of water flow. I have discussed with people around but found out it is a situation they have gotten used to.
When there is no water, residents have to wake up at around 4:30am and go and look for water.
Due to this, residents are forced to buy barrels to fill up with water whenever the taps are opened.
I entreat the relevant authorities to take immediate action to address this issue which is a problem for the people, especially the students in the area.
