Spouses of Methodist ministers donate to Nsawam Female Prison

Spouses of ministers of the Northern Accra Diocese of Methodist Church Ghana have visited females at the Nsawam Prison to fellowship with them. Led by Mrs. Lucia Edusa-Eyison, wife of the Bishop, the spouses prayed and shared words of encouragement and hope with the inmates.
They admonished them (inmates) to keep their hope in Jesus Christ alone, to be with them in this time of their incarceration. “Jesus is the only one who can forgive your sins. He loves you and will forever love you if only you will repent and believe in Him,” Mrs. Edusa-Eyison said. Additionally, the group donated assorted items worth GHc3, 000.00 to the inmates.
The items comprised 200 packs of ‘T’-roll, 200 packs of bathing soap, 200 packs
of washing soap, 200 packs of shaving stick, 200 packs of underwear, 200 packs of toothpaste, 100 packs of toothbrush, 200 threads for braiding hair, 200 packs of sanitary pad, 100 packs of food, used clothing, Tom Brown among others. The gesture was the group’s way of responding to Christ’s command to visit prisoners and evangelise.
