Stonebwoy covers medical bills for patients to mark daughter’s birthday

 One of Ghana’s revered musical exports, Stonebwoy, on Friday, December 30, spent some time with children admitted to the Child Health/Paediatric Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital to celebrate Catherine Jidula, his daughter, who turned five years old.

Through his non-governmental charity organ­isation, The Livingstone Foundation (TLF), the internationally acclaimed musician, and Dr. Louisa Ansong-Satekla, his wife and renowned dental surgeon, used the occasion to pay the medical ex­penses for some patients as well as donate supplies worth thousands of cedis.

The items included, kids’ hygiene products which include soaps, diapers, wipes, packs of bottled water, drinks, hand sanitizers, boxes of biscuits, and other assorted items to the child health unit.

The foundation also hosted a dinner for Cath­erine Jidula, known as CJ, at the medical centre with kids, including their parents, in attendance.

The kids, who were thrilled to dine with Stoneb­woy, Dr. Louisa and the entire staff from the chari­ty, were also given special birthday gifts by CJ.

“We’re here to celebrate with the children here at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital because it’s my daughter’s 5th birthday,” Stonebwoy, founder of The Livingstone Foundation said.

Stonebwoy expressed his appreciation to the health professionals for their hard work and called for support to them from well-meaning Ghanaians.

Director of The Livingstone Foundation, Dr. Lou­isa Ansong-Satekla added, “We decided to come here and spend time with the kids because it’s the holiday season and it’s really unfortunate that they can’t celebrate with their families at home. So, we decided to come here and put some smiles on their faces, including their parents.”

The leadership of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Child Health/Paediatric Unit, expressed their sin­cere gratitude to the entire Livingstone Foundation for being thoughtful during the festive season.

 Miss Ghana 2025 finalists unveiled

 The talented 16 contestants have been unveiled at a grand ceremony held at the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra last Saturday.

These finalists made the cut following gruelling auditions in No­vember 2024, where young women from across the country show­cased their beauty, intelligence, and passion for service.

According to the organisers, the search is for a queen who exem­plifies selflessness, intelligence, discipline, and dedication to soci­etal service.

The contestants will go through calculated weekly tasks ahead of the highly anticipated grand finale on March 29, 2025.

Each contestant will now rep­resent their respective regions as they compete for the prestigious Miss Ghana 2025 crown.

Organised by Exclusive Events Ghana and Miss Ghana Foundation, the Miss Ghana pageant is more than just a beauty competition.

As part of the modalities, the winner will not only represent Ghana on the global stage at Miss World but will also lead charitable initiatives under the Miss Ghana Foundation, focusing on support­ing vulnerable communities.

The contestants expressed their readiness to prove their mettle in the competition for the ultimate.
