Takoradi Port gives to Special Needs School
The Takoradi Port has donated assorted items to the Special Needs School at Esipun, in the Sekondi -Takoradi metropolis of the Western Region, to enable the pupils celebrate Christmas.
The items include rice, cooking oil, cartons of chicken, beverages, biscuits, gari, sachet water, toilet tissue and sanitary pads.
Presenting the items to the school last week, the Port’s marketing and Public Affairs Manager, Dr. Kingsley Antwi-Boasiako, conveyed special yuletide greetings from the Director of Takoradi Port, Mr Peter Amo-Bediako and the entire staff, to the school.
He recounted that the donation had become a tradition for the management and staff of Takoradi Port to contribute their widow’s mite to the pupils at the end of the year and to show their love for them.
Dr Antwi-Boasiako encouraged the children to enjoy the festive season and assured them of the support of the Port.
Receiving the donation, the Head of the Twin-City Special Needs School, Madam Crescentia Efua Bilson, expressed the school’s appreciation to the management and staff of GPHA.
She noted that the Port Authority pleasantly surprised them with the range and quantity of items they donated, especially as it was their first receipt of such donations for the 2023 festive season.
She pledged to use the items for the intended purpose of ensuring an inclusive and joyous Christmas for the school’s special needs children.
