Upper West Unity Concert comes off March 6

Artiste of the Year for the 2021 edition of the Upper West Music Awards, Abdul Rahman Samsideen with the stage name, Sambwoy has called for unity among artistes to help nurture their talents for the growth of the entertainment industry in the region.

He raised concern about the lack of harmony in the music industry in the Upper West region which according to him was hampering the progress of artistes.

He believes when there is team work and collaboration,the industry will thrive because success is a collective responsibility”, he said.

Sambwoy made the comment at the launch of a concert dubbed “Upper West Unity Concert” which slated for March 6 of this year to bring industry players together to entertain residents of the region.

The concert which is aimed at promoting peace would bring musicians from the length and breadth of the region to perform on one stage to entertain music fanatics.

 “We cannot succeed if we are at each other’s neck and continue to be at logger heads with each other; that is why there is the need to come together as a family and do good music for our listeners”, he said

Sambwoy noted that the entertainment industry needed transformation which could only take place if artistes allowed peace and unity to prevail among themselves and worked together as one.

He appealed to musicians and stakeholders in the entertainment industry to bury their differences, unite and make peace with one another in order to promote the music industry in the region.
