We gave it our all, but…Baba Yahaya
Kumasi Asante Kotoko attacking midfielder Baba Yahaya has promised supporters of the club better performance in their subsequent matches.
This follows the team’s inability to win any of the last three matches played in the ongoing betPawa Premier League.
Some supporters have expressed disappointment in the output of the team.
This notwithstanding, Baba Yahaya in an interview after yesterday’s draw in their game against Karela United said, “We gave it our all, but unfortunately, our best wasn’t enough. We’re determined to improve and perform better in our upcoming matches.”
Yahaya who was adjudged the MVP and equalized for Kotoko during the dying embers of the game told StarTimes in a post-match interview “We’re not feeling pressured because our coach has always emphasized that he’s building a team. While we understand that every point is crucial in the league, we’re focused on building a strong team, and we’re optimistic about delivering better results in our next match.”
“The results haven’t gone our way yet, but we appreciate our fans for their unwavering support. We urge them not to lose faith in us, as we believe they’ll be happy when the results start coming in,” he added.
Baba Yahaya joined the Porcupine Warriors from relegated King Faisal in August this year on a three-year deal.
Out of the possible 9 points from the three matches played, Kotoko has only managed two points from those matches.
