Burna boy, TiC and Shatta Wale
It was an awesome nights packed with excitements and thrills at the two-day Afrochella concert held at the El Wak Sports Stadium from December 28 to 29 as african music icons mesmerised thousands of revellers.
The Afrochella festival held in Ghana is a celebration of Africa’s diverse culture and the vibrant work of African creatives & entrepreneurs, with empahsis on African art, cuisine, music, and food.
The festival provided a two-day non-stop entertainment for revellers from UK, US, France, Canada, Nigeria, Togo, Ghana and across the world.
The festival started with Shatta Wale, Medikal, Kuami Eugene, Stonebwoy, Gyakie, Ayra Starr, Kofi Kinaata, King Promise, Fireboy DML,Kwesi Arthur, Juls and Tobi.
Interestingly, the day two which was also filled with a lot of fan had, Burna Boy, TiC, Asake, Mzbel, Falli Ipupa, Praye, KiDi, Kwaw Kese, Tinny, Pheelz, Young Stunna, Alibi X and Daliwonga.
All these starwalt ensured patrons had value for money as they enthralled them with classics from their repertoire.
Many who interacted with The Spectator expressed their excitement and enocuraged others to join the fan in Ghana during the festive season.
It came as a shock to many when it was announced by the organisers after Burna Boy’s performance at the event that Afrochella will not return.
“This is the last Afrochella,” said co-founder Abdul Abdullah to the thousands of people at the El-Wak stadium in the capital, Accra without any reasons.
It would be recalled that in October 2022, California-based music festival Coachella reportedly sued the organisers for trademark infringement.

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian musician, Kwabena Kwabena, is calling on all lovers to converge on the Grand Arena on Valentine’s Day for an unforgettable experience.

“Love is beautiful, bring your loved ones for us to celebrate love, I will set the tone and ambience for you to celebrate your loved one,” he said.
Kwabena Kwabena on the night would be supported by other heavyweights in the music industry including, King Promise, Kidi, Olive The Boy, Fameye and surprise female artistes.
Since the inception of the event in 2014, every edition has been a memorable one filled with love intertwined with music.
