Prize money for Betpawa Premier League announced

President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has announced the prize money for the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League with the winner set for an amount of Five Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc 500000).
The big announcement was made on Tuesday during the launch of the 2023/24 season at the Eastern Premier Hotel in Koforidua.
This seasons prize money is an improvement over what was received by Medeama SC last season.
President Simeon-Okraku said the decision to increase the prize money is to make the betPawa Premier League competitive.
“To increase the competitiveness of the League, the Ghana Football Association will reward from the 1st to the 10th positions in the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League season”
Aside the prize money for the winning team, the Executive Council has also instituted a reward package for teams that finish in the top 10.
President Simeon-Okraku also announced a special support package for clubs that participate in the CAF Interclub competitions beginning from the 2024/25 season.

Ghana’s U-15 Boys’ team kicks off CAF African Schools Football Championship against Uganda

Ghana’s U-15 boys’ team will begin their CAF African Schools Football Championship campaign against Uganda at 11 am on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
The team will then face South Africa on Thursday, followed by a match against Algeria to conclude the group phase. To progress to the semifinals, Ghana will need to finish either 1st or 2nd in their group.
The 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship kicks off on Wednesday, April 23, and wraps up on Friday, April 26, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Ghana’s U-15 girls’ team will kick off their CAF African Schools Football Championship campaign against Morocco at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
The team will then take on Benin on Thursday, followed by a match against Malawi to conclude the group phase. To secure a semifinal spot, Ghana will need to finish either 1st or 2nd in their group.
