Tsadidi Street Art Festival starts tomorrow in Volta Region

Tsadidi, meaning “Journeying from one place to the other” in Ewe, is set to illuminate the vibrant tapestry of art, culture, tourism, and gastronomy at the Tsadidi Street Art Festival.

Organized by GlennSamm, an esteemed Ghanaian visual storyteller and walking artist, this event is a highlight of the Hogbetsotso Festival taking place this weekend.

Scheduled from November 3rd to 5th, the festival will be held at the venerable grounds of our forefathers’ home, Keta (Fort Prinzenstein).

The festivities kick off on November 3 with a lively Talk Party for Visual Art Students from in and around Keta Anloga.

On November 4, Saturday, an Art Procession will grace the streets of Keta, inviting attendees to don traditional attire and make their way to Fort Prinzenstein for an awe-inspiring showcase of art installations, spoken word, poetry, culminating in the night with the dazzling “Glow in the Night Party” and captivating performances throughout Keta township.

On Sunday, November 5, Tsadidi Food and Market Day will provide a delectable opportunity to savor traditional foods and locally-sourced produce.

Anticipate nothing short of an extraordinary immersion in the rich culture and heritage of the Volta Region.

This year’s theme, “Identity,” underscores the profound connections that bind us all.

GlennSamm is as a walking artist but he is similarly a visual artiste who has worked and made cameo appearances in music videos including Fuse ODG – New African Girl featuring KiDi x Kuami Eugene, Manuel Nonobada’s Every Day, Bisa Kdei featuring Adekunle Gold – Adiza, Wakayna’s African Nice and EpiXode Wahala Dey.

He has created art installations at events like Afrochella now Afrofuture, Detty Rave, Chalewote Street Art Festival, Potomanto festival and Lands of Spirits among others.

GlennSamm has also worked with brands like Jameson Scotch whiskey, Caveman watches , Star Beer, Johnnie Walker and Currently he is an ambassador for Jägermeister.


This year’s event is partnered by Citi FM, Citi TV, Jubilee Radio & Sandcity Radio.

 Ghana need industry bank to fund talents — Rocky Jigga

 Ghanaian UK-based afrobeat singer, Emmanuel Rocky Gyeniaw Jnr known in entertainment circles as Rocky Jigga has expressed the need for an industry bank to fund talents.

According to him, this will help Gha­naian musicians to compete effectively with their foreign counterparts.

Rocky Jigga believes that many talent­ed musicians have coiled back into their shells due to funding challenges.

“There’s more room for improvement. The industry needs more investors from both the government and private sector at large. We need an industry bank that funds talents, events and everything entertaining,” he said.

The song which came with its video was produced by B Boat and it empha­sised a man’s preference for an ideal woman irrespective of the size.

 Israel Ofori releases ‘My Everything’ single

Gospel artist, Israel Ofori has released a new single titled ‘My Everything.’

The song is already making waves on various music platforms.

Speaking to The Spectator after the release, he said he was in­spired by the words in Psalm 42 vs 1 “As the deer pants after water brooks, so pants my soul after thee, O God.”

He acknowledges God as his source, and everything, thereby encouraging all Christians and the human race to see God as their source.

In the song, Israel Ofori en­courages Christians and lovers of gospel music to acknowledge God as their source of everything, saying “when you put God first, everything will align in favour.

“As 2025 unfolds it is important for people especially Christians to yearn for God and recognise Him as their source and everything,” adding that the song was timely and will help listeners in their daily walk with God and bring them to a point of surrender.”
