Beccainspires women after topping UPSA graduating class

Ghanaian award winning musician, Rebecca Acheampong Sanni-Daniel, known in showbiz circles as Becca, has inspired women after emerging the overall best graduating student of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

She bagged Masters in Brands and Communication Management and was the valedictorian with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.29.

Delivering her valedictory speech on behalf of the class of 2022 on Tuesday, she said she hoped someone especially girls out there would be inspired by her feat to study hard and also come out with flying colours.

The songstress said she was a testimony that “if you dare to dream, you can have it.”

According to her, as a wife, mother, a career professional and a singer, furthering her education seemed impossible, but her ever-supporting husband, DrSanni-Daniel, stood by her through thick and thin to realise her dream.

Becca added that “I dedicate this to every young girl out there, do not underestimate the power and the mind of a determined woman.”

She acknowledged the Vice Chancellor and lecturers for their commitment and efforts in shaping the future of their students.

Becca attended Wesley Girls Senior High School, and later studied Child Care Education at Croydon College, UK.

With determination to attain higher heights in education, she attended Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) where she graduated with First Class Honours after studying Operations and Project Management.

Becca has been in the music industry for about 15 years with numerous songs to her repertoire and over 70 awards in Ghana and beyond.
